How it works
Watch one transfer go dark.
You send 1,500 $SHROUD to a friend. Here's every step, and who can see what.
- 01Sign once
- 02Prove it in your browser
- 03A relayer posts it
- 04The vault records a sealed note
- 05Your friend opens it
Your wallet signs one message. Your browser turns it into two private keys: one to see your notes, one to spend them. The signature never leaves your device.
Your device builds a zero-knowledge proof: "I own notes in the vault worth at least 1,500, and nobody spent them before." It proves it without saying which notes.
A relayer submits the transaction and pays the SOL fee. It's paid back in $SHROUD from your notes, so your wallet address never appears on-chain.
The vault checks the proof, marks the old notes as spent with one-way tags, and adds two new sealed notes to its tree: one for your friend, one for your change.
Your friend's app scans new notes with their viewing key. Only their key decrypts this one. To everyone else it stays a blacked-out line.
